Modular Aviaries

Custom made modular constructed aviaries, aviary complexes, and animal enclosures built by Aussie Bird Cages & Aviaries are fast becoming the accepted standard and choice, for both the serious breeders and the new comers whishing to purchase an aviary for their back yard or property.

Modular aviaries are for the aviculturist's who do not have the time, welding ability or equipment to manufacture a aviary or aviary complex. Modular aviaries are more expensive than a one piece aviary complex construction on site. The amount of steel, labour and components required to manufacture the modular panels is greater than that required to manufacture the one piece aviary, where everything is simply cut and welded together on site .

Building in modular panel sections has a great advantage over the onsite welded aviaries, by allowing you the ease to dismantle the complex and re-assemble it at another address or location. Also you can extend your complex at any time after the initial purchase by simply adding another bay to the existing complex as your requirements grow .

Your custom made modular aviaries can be built with or without safety walkways. The majority of people are now electing to have the safety walkway fitted (which is fitted as standard.)

Nothing is more heart wrenching than to see a much cherished bird fly out and away for the sake of saving a few dollars on construction costs.

Our panels widths (900mm and 1.2m wide) are designed to accommodate the sheet metal and mesh sizes with minimum wastage. These panel widths also allow us to pack the frames onto smaller pallets for road transportation, which reduces the cost of freight and a saving to you.

Width of flights or aviaries: Our modular aviaries panels are 900mm and 1.2m wide. Wider or longer flights or aviaries are achieved by adding additional panels together. EG: A 900mm wide panel + a 1.2m wide panel = 2.1m wide flight or aviary. 1.2m panel +1.2m panel gives a 2.4m wide flight or aviary, ETC.

Lengths of flights or aviaries: Are achieved by adding the panels together as above. Lengths vary from 1.2m up to 6.0 m +.

Height range from 1.8m to 2.4m. Aviaries over 2.4 high need larger sized frames to compensate for the additional forces placed upon them.

Modular aviaries panels are secured to specially made pallets at our factory. These pallets containing the aviary panels are then loaded on to trucks and shipped Ex-factory to their destination any where within Australia.
