Dwayne Schalk supervises production and design. Dwayne is a tradesman of 15 years in motor bodybuilding, and is experienced in all areas of sheet metal fabrication including design and CAD drawing. Dwayne was indentured for his apprenticeship with one of Australia's leading manufacturers of purpose built products. He also achieved apprentice of the year. To this day his dedication and experience shines and is transposed into the quality required by Aussie Bird Cages and Aviaries.

Further Information Custom made aviaries and enclosures: are made in modular panel sections, frames pre-drilled in our factory to allow for ease of assembly using bolts and nuts that are provided. We also provide a philips head and hex head bits to attach to your drill for use in assembly of your new aviary. Our custom made modular aviaries: Modular aviaries are for the aviculturist's who do not have the time, welding ability or equipment to manufacture a one piece fully welded aviary or aviary complex for themselves. Modular aviaries are more expensive than a one piece aviary complex construction on site. The amount of steel, labour and components required to manufacture the modular panels is greater than that required to manufacture the one piece aviary, where everything is simply cut and welded together on site . Building in modular panel sections has a great advantage over the onsite welded aviaries, by allowing you the ease to dismantle, transporting the complex, and re-assemble it at another address or location. Also you are able to extend your complex at any time after the initial purchase by simply adding another bay to the existing complex as your requirements grow. Frames: "Galvanized RHS tube." 25mm x 25mm x 1.6mm square tube is used for all frames. Frame widths are 1.2m or 0.9m wide, to a maximum of 2.4m in height. These frames are bolted together to provide the required aviary sizes. All welds are sprayed to assist in the prevention of rusting. Wall & Roof cladding: Aussie Sheeting tm (Colour Bond) cladding is produced in our own factory and used for all external wall as well as the roof sheeting. Using Aussie Sheeting tm provides secure waterproof roofing, and wall sections. Aussie Sheeting tm fits flush to the RHS tubing leaving no gaps between the sheeting and the RHS tubing as experienced with many commercially produced cladding. Weld mesh covering: 25m x 25mm (1" x 1") x 2.5mm thick, weld mesh wire is welded to our frames and used on all aviaries, from Budgies to the larger parrots. A new 12.5mm x 50mm (1/2" x 2') x 2mm thick weld mesh wire is used by us on aviaries for Finch and Canaries instead of the weaker conventional bird wire. This mesh allows us to tack-weld it onto our modular panels in the same manner as our larger parrot weld mesh panels. We do not use: inferior materials or cut corners to compete with the cheaper priced products available. Our products are well known Australia wide for their high quality and exceptional workman ship. You need to consider the following things: Before asking us for a quotation on an aviary, or animal complex, you need to consider carefully the design that you require. Which panels are to be meshed or sheeted, where do you require the door. What width panels will you use to make up the aviary or complex size you require (1.2m or 0.9m panel widths) ETC? Provide as much detail as possible. Simply asking for a price on an aviary, complex or animal enclosure stating the size, with out any idea of how you need it manufactured will not allow us to provide a price for you. EG. If you were to approach a builder for a quote to build your new home, or a shed, you would be required to provide a detailed plan showing how you want it built. Without this plan, it would be impossible for the builder to work out what materials are required, the labour input and a raft of other essential requirements needed to provide your quote.
